About Us
The Equestrian Team is a group of riders committed to representing Sonoma State at IHSA competitions. Our purpose is to promote friendly competition on an individual and team level.
Team members not only train and compete together, but we also participate in social and volunteer events as well as learning activities. Some of the educational areas we explore include equine disciplines, care, massage, first aid, etc.

History The Equestrian Club was chartered in the Spring of 2007. The next fall, the Equestrian Team competed in their first IHSA competition. The first season went very well, especially for a new team. Janis Laspley, Shelly Davis, and Caitlin Maus had especially successful seasons.
So far, the '09-'10 season has been going great! We're growing in numbers, experience, and involvement. All of our riders have been placing very well. Check our our results for details.
Our program is evolving and we're gaining amazing support from the school and outside community. We're excited to continue to grow as this season continues and into the future.
