The SSU Equestrian Team is a great opportunity for riders of all levels.
Our competition team consists of current SSU students and alumni who are dedicated to the equestrian sport. We travel throughout Northern California and the U.S. competing with the IHSA in Hunt Seat Equitation on the flat and over fences and Western Horsemanship and Reining.
The team is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet, compete, and learn together. Throughout the year there are student lead "workshops," field trips, speakers, and clinics. Topics range from all areas of the equestrian world.
We also accept non-showing riders who are interested in being part of a team environment without the commitment of showing.

Eventing Team!The Sonoma State Equestrian Team is excited to add eventing to our list of disciples. This season we will be competing through the WCCEL, or the West Coast Collegiate Eventing League.
